Welcome to Alcatraz Island!

Plan on spending a couple of hours on the island. Ferry tickets are required to visit Alcatraz. Purchase your tickets online at Alcatraz City Cruises or call (415) 981-7625.

An audio tour of the Alcatraz cellhouse comes with the purchase of the ferry ticket. The audio tour is available in English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Mandarin, as well as Braille in English.

Alcatraz is part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area.
